Pune: Kan Biosys, a leading Indian agri-biotech company with a global footprint, has unveiled two transformative product lines to empower Indian farmers: ROFA, a premium range of imported specialty fertilizers developed in collaboration with De Sangosse, France, and an indigenous range of neem-based, residue-free agri-inputs aimed at sustainable farming.

A symbolic cultural introduction, featuring Saraswati Vandana, the Indian National Anthem, and a lively appearance by Kan Biosys’ mascot Biojeet™, set the tone for a celebration of Indian farming’s future.

ROFA: Real Optimised Fertilizer Application

Under the ROFA (Real Optimised Fertilizer Application) brand, Kan Biosys introduced 12 high-efficiency, water-soluble fertilizers tailored to deliver precision nutrition across varied Indian agro-climatic zones and cropping systems.

“ROFA stands not only for Real Optimised Fertilizer Application but also Respect for our farmers,” said Sandeepa Kanitkar, Managing Director, Kan Biosys and President, BASAI. “Through ROFA, we bring world-class French technology directly to Indian fields.”

Agricultural experts lauded ROFA’s foliar application capabilities and potential to improve crop yields while reducing environmental impact.

Neem-Based Innovation: Tradition Meets Technology

Complementing ROFA, Kan Biosys launched three advanced neem-based products, developed in-house by blending traditional Indian farming wisdom with cutting-edge research. These zero-residue solutions aim to minimize chemical usage, promote soil health, and encourage a chemical-free farming ecosystem.

“If you protect the soil, it will protect you,” said Padma Shri Rahibai Soma Popere, renowned seed conservationist. “Neem-based products are the need of the hour for sustainable agriculture.”

Adinath Chavan, Director of Agrowon, added, “Kan Biosys brings scientific thinking into farming. Their innovation-first approach is shaping India’s agri-future.”
